So I got two boxes of halves. Around here, along Monterey bay there are two markers of coins I know of. We have the striper, who puts two black lines along his coins, and the mad dotter, who puts dots over the two middle numbers in the date, and then writes the month searched on it. The boxes were filled with their coins. I did get a 1987 ender, but threw it back into the wild.

So I dumped my halves at the local credit union, and then walked over to my main bank to deposit the cash, and sitting in the teller's tray was a silver quarter. I asked for 5 bucks in quarters, and missed it by 50 cents. So I asked for a dollar more, and got a 1952-d quarter in my hands.

Let the dotter and dater do their worst.

While they are wasting all of that time with their artwork, you can search ten times more .

I like that strategy..... smooth, I just do not even get how a teller, or anyone, could have something that pretty sitting in their tray, and not notice.... Let alone, hand it over. Crazy to me.
