I got out extra early this morning and took a 30 minute ride down to Scarboro Beach in Narragansett, only to find the sand piled up high! What a bummer! I spent about an hour scanning above and below the tide line, and only got 3 or 4 signals the whole time, all of which was, of course, trash. I did pick up a few nice peices of beach glass to add to my daughters collection. I did see two guys out working the surf, way down the other end of the beach, but didn't stop to say hi. Anyone here out at Scarboro this morning
On the way back, I stopped at a schoolyard and managed to dig a little over $2 in clad out of the woodchips before giving up. I also found a strange little thingy, some kind of charm or zipper pull. Better than nothing I guess.
I'm going to start hitting the south county beaches some more, hope to see some of you other RI and CT hunters there sometime!
