I ordered a few more boxes this week. I am looking for the 2012 halves, figuring maybe there will be a few in the boxes by this time of year. So I picked them up, and went through them.

The only odd thing I got was a 1967 Malaysia 50 Sem. Don't think I've gotten one of those before. But no silver. Skunk streak still intact, and now up to 97 boxes in a row. Since being told of the newer machine in Phoenix (only) with the comparitor to take out all the bad coins that don't match the desired coin (which is clad, so silver gets taken out as not a match, just like most foriegn coins and magicians coins)

I am really hoping this streack does not hit 100. But if it does, it does. I only got more boxes hoping to get the 2012's anyway. And I did not get any 2012. :-( I'm curious. Has anyone found any 2012 halves yet? Are they hitting boxes where you are? I only need two of the 2012 P and 2 of the 2012 D, so I don't need much, but I've had no luck so far. I'll wait another two months or so and see if boxes have the 2012's in them then. :-) And hope that the boxes I order then don't move the skunk streak over 100! YIKES!

I picked up 4 silvers from trays and CWRs while picking up my boxes. :-) Gotta get them on the way into the system, instead of in the boxes, since they are getting taken out. Still moving forward on my silvers though. :-)

Pennies still doing well here. Quarters okay for 2012s, which I'm looking for since they are rarer than normal (except Volcanoes, which was produced in larger numbers)

Who is the coin provider that you're picking up?

What is the metal composition of the Malaysia coin?

I have run into several 2012s but I always throw them back.

My highest skunk streak in Utah is at 17. The system in Phoenix always scares me since Utah is only one state away. Although Phoenix is like 650 miles from me, and almost 700 away from Salt Lake.

It is Copper nickel.

JRF- Check the edge of the coin, does it look like this:

The 2012's shouldn't be in circulation.. Oh how I would love a solid box to show up. That would make a nice penny on feebay.

Sag, Yes, the edges look like that. That's what I first saw when I opened th3e box. that and it is a little smaller than our half dollar.

Senor, the boxes here are Brinks. Rolled in white wrappers with brinks written on the side. I've seen some yellow wrapped halves that were loose, and had some islver, but don't see any banks on my list that give those out. JUst the white brinks wrapped ones.

Easy - save me two of the 2012 halves if you get more. I'll have you ship them to me. :-) I just need two of the P and two of the D, to fill in my son's albums. He's the one in my wife's arms in the picture. He is 3 now, and someday (Hopefully soon) I want to start him on coin collecting. It is rare today for young ones to do. Not like when I was young.

I find many 2012 I live in nj

I've found 2012's since about May, and I only do 2 boxes a week. I got hard up and dumped all my NIFCs though, so those are back out there ;)

I'm surprised you guys have seen so many 2012s. I don't see that many NIFCs.

jrf: I don't envy you, but I admire you. I don't think I'd make it through 97 boxes without quitting!

Have you considered getting them from a different coin supplier?

I just wanted to make sure because there is a variety worth about $150+ that doesn't have that edge by mistake. You coin is worth a dollar in XF and 50 cents in VF, below that it's just exchange value (.50 ringgit).
