My digging pal and I headed out for a hunt in the rain today. The first spot was a bust so we headed back to the old defunct school that usually produces a coin or two.

It's funny, I've been begging for rain to soften up the ground. But not on the very day I'm able to get out and dig!? I guess that's the way it goes haha. I got wet, but at least I made a few decent finds to make it worthwhile.

Found a few pennies, then a mixed signal produced a bit of junk and this silver Canadian dime. Yahoo, finally a silver coin! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1473121629.542974.jpg

Kept going and got a perfect silver dime signal and came across this. What could it be? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1473121786.208995.jpg

Aaand it's a 1928 Merc. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1473121853.520913.jpg

Felt good to get the silver flowing!ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1473122084.253715.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1473122120.103871.jpg

Good job sticking it out in the rain and grabbing up some silvers!, I'd imagine the weather is gonna start getting pretty cool up that way real soon huh?

Thanks Chris, it was nice to get out and actually find something!

Every year that it doesn't freeze up and snow before Halloween is a good year haha.

Wow! , Halloween? Way too soon for my blood

Yeah, I remember as a kid having a cool Halloween costume--and then having to try to wear it over full snow gear. Lame lol

J, good to hear your drought has ended..been awhile since I've eyed silver in the hole myself. I finally pried myself away from my go-to soccer field (yawn)..and hit up an 1850 house in town I've had good luck with in the past..only got about an hour detecting in, as we talked for over an hour, but I DID leave with a quart jar of homemade apple butter! Lol..Congrats on the finds, looks like a great day...ddf

Congratulations on ending the silver drought. That's an interesting looking key too. Any age to that?

Congratulations on the Silver Vicky and Mercury dimes. Quite a few other nice finds too. That key is cool. Is the bracelet silver? I see you dig your fair share of trash also. Congrats on a sweet hunt.

Thanks, and I hope you snag some silver soon. I've never had apple butter but it sure sounds good. My mouth actually watered when I read that haha

Thanks, and I'm not sure about the key. It could be for a clock, but I'm thinking it might be a bit of cheap jewelry that was on a necklace.

Thanks very much ATW. I think the bracelet is/was plated. I'm hoping I can see if there is a name etched onto it.

Sorry I didn't post the date side of the Canadian dime. It's an Elizabeth II, 1960. I WISH it was a Vicky as it would be up to a hundred years older than this one.[emoji3]

Congrats on ending that silver drought!! It's not the same with out seeing silver in the hole now and then.

Finding silver is always nice.
