six stars

Is this a button? it measures about an inch across. It looks like the stars should have stones in them. Found at old cellar hole.

Do the punch marks in the stars go all the way through?

no they don't go all the way through.

Well it does look like it could have been a two piece button and the back piece is missing.

In my opinion it can well be a button or some other trinket that had once embedded rhinestones in star setting.
