I had a friend over to hunt a piece of property that used to be park property but has since been fenced off
due to a school that was built back in the 60's. The fenced area surrounds the schools track/football field and travels to the south about 80ft. further than what the track does leaving a good chunk of grass that has not been traveled on except for when there is games and such. This area gave up a 1919 indian last year that had been shot in the center and just recently i found a barber dime within an hours time so I figured it would be worth a good going over. I came out of the gate on fire scoring 5 of the 6 silvers before my friend had even dug a wheatie. Needless to say It was getting kinda old hearing me holler
"Silver" for the poor guy. These coins werent very deep at all with the deepest being about 5in.
Before it was all over, he dug a silver washington and a merc of his own. The gold charm and necklace was a welcome find because i dont find much jewelery in the places that I go. After the days hunting was done and considering the amount of silver and clad, i would have to say this was probably a virgin site. 8)
