A friend invited me to search an early site with him in pa. In the mid,late 1700s, indians murdered an entire family here. Dirt from under a porch was put in a pile and that's where the civil war Artillery button, the buckle, and the arrowhead were found. The other objects were found on same site. Can anyone date the timeframe of the buckle?

Nice digs ! Interesting context to the relics to say the least. The buckle looks like a Rev War sling buckle, but could be slightly later.

Buckle looks late 18th C to me.
