Site continues to surprise me

Today was my 5th weekend in a row at the same permission. The silver streak continued with three more silver dimes. The first three weekends I used my AT Pro with the 5x8" DD coil. I was beginning to think that I had found most of the coins out there but I just got my new Etrac so I wanted to see what it would pull from the same site. Last weekend I had the stock coil on the FBS machine but this week I brought the Sunray X8 coil out. That little coil did a great job today. There is ALOT of trash in the yard which causes the Etrac to null constantly. It still managed 5 wheats, three silver dimes and 25 cents in clad. Something I have been wondering is...Where are the nickels? Can you Etrac guys give me some pointers on recovering nickels? I was running TTF all day by the way.

Have you tried the program I sent you? I find nickles with it. Looks like you are doing GREAT in the silver department though. The machine will not disappoint you at all.

Congrats on some nice silver.

I haven't had time to hook the etrac up to the computer. I plan on trying it out there soon.

That's what sucks for me is I don't have a computer at the time

I cannot comment on the etrac, but my CTX easily ID's nickels as a fairly solid 12-12.

Yeah that is where I expect them to ring up, or there about but everytime I dig those signals they end up being a pulltab. Had me wondering where are all the dang nickels!

Nickels ring up for me usually as a solid 12-12 to 12-15 on my ETrac. If I'm cherry picking I usually run Bills trashy park pattern with a small notch for nickels . I don't dig much junk with it

Yeah, ScubaDetector sent me a link to that program. I have been meaning to try it out but I haven't had time to put it on the Etrac. I look forward to using it soon.

Hey what's that program? Can you pm me

ETRAC and CTX 3030 will both pick out nickel signals registering 11-11 all the way up to and
including 13 -14. 13-13 is pretty much always a nickel. 12-24 also gave me nickels, a gold ring, and an 1864 Indian Head Penny. Yep, I even got a 10kt brooch on a solid 11-08.
Congrats on all your finds.

Running the CTX this year, and I've dug 67 nickels, and they most all ID'd as 12-15. I did see one on Thursday that was 12-16.

They were all repeatable solid tones.. That's what I look for, the tones, though I do often give a little tolerance to that.

Dumb question here but when I make a new setting like going off one I see them using online do I have to hook it up to computer or can I just make it and save on the detector and go from there?

Nice group of silver dimes! :occasion14:
