I've got 3 of these as well. I wonder if it's possible that some of these were used like Bolo Stones on nets to bring down birds?

Where's the picture of the one with the Turkey Foot on it? That one is just to cool.

Thanks for posting these pics. I really like these types of artifacts. Do you have any stone sinkers where there is a hole drilled through it to attach the line?
 

nope no holes
the line was wrapped around the groove

maybe its possible that they tied the stones to a tether or string to their birds legs to keep them from flying away, but also lets them feed and wander! I always thought that was possible! :dontknow:
