I started adding broken points to a basket the day I came to this site. I decided to spread them out last night to see what I've collected in roughly the 2 months I've been here and this is what I came up with. These are only the broken ones remember!

Y'all have inspired me to hit the field! Let me thank all of y'all for that!

Now that is a collection! You got more in 2 months than me all yr. Take all the large pieces and pack them in the shed out back and put the pretty ones in frames. One day when your shed is full you might want to sell those old ones. What else you going to do with them?

Yea, I'm looking frames now. I think the shed is full. Pops does this too. I'll pass them on to someone or donate them to some historical society.

Donation is a cool idea but all they do is put them in storage and that is it. What happens to them after that who knows? Also I see some wholes in your broke pile. Just so you know. Some look broke but were designed that way.

The ones that look whole, have some imperfections. Maybe a couple quartz pieces that are whole.

Boy, if you look at some of those points and connect them to what they had to be when new you are looking at six and eight inch blades. I have two halves that are four inches long. And pressure flaked so beautiful They would be museum pieces.

You are a great hunter, brother. And healthy for our community and to preserve history.

Funny you said that. Just last week, my uncle, who lives in the same neighborhood as I, found a grey chert blade in his flower bed. It was all of 6 inches in length and flaked perfectly. First one that long from our part of the county I've ever seen that big. You are more than likely right. I'll get a pic of the one he found for you guys. It's crazy!

In the first pic on the far right. The item is quartz its got a round base and a stem. Can we see that one up close? I believe it is a paddle drill and I have never seen one before. Thanks

Be glad to when I get home Rock. It may take me a minute to put my hand on it to.

Ok when you get to it. The dogs are probably hungry. You should put those quartz pics in the quartz thread. So everyone can see the quality of them.

Yeah, I put quite a few in there, but those were buried in a basket. Otherwise, I would have posted them. I'll find that piece in a few for you man.

yep might be a graver/punch type of tool. Looks like it has flaking along the edges.
