All Treasure Hunting
Wife is gone for her 2 week training with the National Guard, so I decided to get out and enjoy the balmy weather today for the first full day of metal detecting for the year. Ended up going to a park park about 40 miles away that I had never been to before and ended up spending about 10 hours there. All in all it wasn't too bad a day, ended up getting $8.33 in clad, 4 mercury dimes, 1918, 1939, 1939, and 1943, and a 1945-P nickel (Which was from a small hunt on Tuesday), and 35 wheaties. Also found a little sterling pin in the shape of what looks to be a Dachshund, a Grimland 5 cent play coin, a cylinder from a cap gun, a cool looking toy car (Which I can't find any makers name on it anywhere), and an aluminum toy compass/magnifying glass combo which is marked on the back Japan Comet. Oh, and of course the usual trash!! Happy Hunting All!!
