Found this in a stream this afternoon. Sounded off like crazy about 4 inches under water! Detector read silver. I don't know. It's heavy. What do you guys think?

Looks like some kind of pig, to me. Since it detects as silver but looks rusty I'd say it appears to be some kind of metal alloy that was created by melting more than one kind of metal and pouring it into a sluice and channeling into ingots. If it's silver there sure is a lot of rust on it. Find out what kind of metals mix with silver when melted and you can probably figure it out.

Thanks all. It has a rust coating that flakes right off. the color is kind of silvery but I know its not lead. Maybe tin. I wonder how it got where I found it? About a mile off of the road ...Upstream. Oh...well...
