Howdy fellow dirt fishermen,
I got out for a few hours this morning, before the sun here a mile up
started to cook my brain. I got into the yard of an old small house that
was built in 1886. I had really high hopes for this place, but I saw that
there was some dirt added to the front yard, and the back yard was
almost a solid layer of beer tops. Broke out the old Blue Max 600 coil,
and found some stuff in between the beer tops. Not much for old coins
but for a couple of wheats, and some clad. Found some marbles and a
glass bead.
Now for the whatzits. I have an idea of what they are, but I would like
to hear what you all have to say. They are made of solid silver and were
found with the 2 springs in the picture. All was found in about a 6" circle.
You can see where the springs were supposed to fit onto them, and I believe
they would hold some type of circular object. They weigh in at 2 grams apiece.
Let me know what you think.
