I did a short hunt with my grandson and was able to teach him something with two finds barely 6 feet apart:

Sorry for the blur on the two dime pic, but the '50-S was in amazing shape, even having distinct hair waves on FDR. I am confident it was dropped new and didn't age at all for almost 70 years.

Then there is the clad dime beside it - 50 years newer and aging fast. My lesson to the grandson was why silver is treasure and clad is for toll booths and there's a world of difference pulling one from the ground versus the other. HIs eyes lit up and he pointed to the 50-S and said "this is treasure!" Lesson learned! :icon_thumleft: :skullflag:

He's only 3 1/2, but sharp as a tack and he gets out with his little Bounty Hunter and carrot and goes after it. He really wants to be hunting pirate booty with you in the Keys tho Bart - he's not impressed with my trinkets! :laughing7: I tell him I'll get him down there one day. :icon_thumleft:
