Silver treasures from my first month and a half of MD

My dad has won, I'm ruined. We've been metal detecting on an old festival site, and I'm hooked. We've been 5 times now and found countless bottle caps, pop tops, tent stakes, change, and wads of aluminum foil. We've gotten some broken and junk jewelry too. My exciting prizes so far include 4 silver rings and an odd little silver frog--pictures attached. The celtic knot ring is a spin ring (knots spin over the inside) and is a whopping 10 grams! The little opal ring fits and matches a bracelet that I already have. Can't wait to get back there and find more!

I have created a Monster! Anna has known for all of her life that her poppa is a tad bit crazy. She was always the sane one in our house. She graduated in April from Veterinary School at Virginia Tech and is now back home and working part time at a local vet. I think that this addiction started because she felt sorry for poor old poppa going off by himself with his metal detector and went along to keep me company. Then she found 2 sterling rings on her second hunt! I am using a Tesoro Lobo Super Traq and she is using my Tesoro Compadre. I am getting lots of bottle caps, $5 to $10 in clad with 60 to 70 pennies and junk jewelry on every trip. She gets less clad, few caps and sterling rings. Dr. Anna has stepped over the edge of sanity. I'm sooooooo proud!
