Hello everyone, Relic Dude here. Loved sharing the complete Rattail spoon. This same cellar hole yielded another nice find.
About a foot down, I found this thimble which I believe is silver due to the fact that there isn't any corrosion. It does have some elaborate decoration, but, no makers mark or .925 denoting sterling.
Would love to here from you folks as to your thoughts on it being silver and approx. age.
I am new to this forum and love reading it. Some very nice, helpful folks including one person who sent a article that helped identify my rattail spoon as being from around 1710.
