A month ago I was detecting a local school yard. I found the insides of an old Swiss utility knife and one side of the handle. I didn't realize the handle was silver until after I got home and cleaned it up some.

With school in and my work schedule I wasn't able to make it back to see if I could find the other side of the handle until last week.
I looked for about an hour making passes back and forth in what I thought was the area where I found the first half of handle.
I finally moved my search over on the hillside almost giving up Hope of finding the missing side.On my first pass I dug a plug and there sat the missing side I was looking.

I love finding these little knives! Found my 3rd one yesterday actually, got em in red, black and blue! Good digs 

Yeah I hear you.The boy seems to find most knives we find.

When I took the first handle home it was covered in dirt and I had to go to work. The boy cleaned it up while I was at work and showed it to me the next day.Asked me if I knew what I had?? Heck yeah, as soon as I saw it I knew it was silver.
When I went back to see if I could find the other half I never thought I'd find it. What are the odds?

Nice find I've found hundreds of pocket knives over the yrs. You know how many were silver just one. Very rare to find them in sterling.
