Hello to all you bank roll searchers. I went to the bank this morning to buy 10 rolls of halves to look thru. The teller next to the one I was dealing with said she only had one. My teller had none, and there weren't any in the vault. When she pulled it out of her drawer, I noticed it was an old wrapper , not a new bankroll , & I thought to myself this could be good. When I got home, I first saw a 1964 Kennedy on the outside. I opened the roll to find 17 more 1964 Kennedy halves and 2 - 1963 Franklin Halves !! 20 Silver Halves !! I usually dont find any, & every now & then may get a 40% Kennedy so this was very exciting. The silvers are still at the banks, I guess you just have to time it right. My guess is someone just brought it in last night or this morning otherwise I think it would have found its way into the tellers home. Guess I dont have to fight the heat with the detector this weekend - I'm satisfied ! Good luck, Ron

Congrats! I guess i'm gonna have to order a box of halves after reading the roll hunting page lately.I can't find any single rolls except for 2 at 2 different banks once, someone had just turned them in I guess. One of the rolls had 15-40% halves in it.

A couple years back I went to the bank to get half rolls to look through. This was the first time I ever got half rolls, until that time I used to get nickel rolls to look for silver nickels and did fairly well. Anyway, I got 10 rolls that looked like older rolls and took them home excited. My son opened the end of the first roll and said there was a silver half showing. I did'nt believe him and looked myself and sure enough it was a 40% Kennedy. We spilled out the rest of the roll and it was all 40%. It turned out that the remaining rolls were all solid 40% Kennedy's. I was speechless to say the least! Never have done that well since then though. HH John

My wife works at a bank. Unfortunately they don't let her take home coins... Rather they have someone that pics through em and then they put them up for sale themselves.

LoL this bank is all about the $$$ for sure.

What the heck is that all about? How can they keep her from exchanging the coins herself at face value? That doesn't sound legal.Banks with coinpickers, that's a little much,ya think?.
