Saturday morning I went back to Rosedale Park to see what could be found after the last time I was there. I ground balanced the ATP Pro with the Storm Coil, was running minus 5 on the ground balance. Started walking the length of the field. Five minutes into the field I got a nice 80-81 high tone signal 10 inches down. Down at the bottom of the hole was the bowl of a silver spoon. The mark on what was left of the stem was a star, looking up the mark it looks to be a Stieff spoon. In another line about thirty feet from the first good signal I got another 80-81 high tone marking 12 inches down. To my surprise out came a circle baby spoon. Hallmarked Stieff Sterling. The bowl of the spoon was engraved with name Barbara Ann. That was the second circle baby spoon to come out of the park.
Thanks for viewing and HH

Wow, those are very nice!! I find the weirdest stuff in parks, great job

Thanks, Joe-Dirt. I have found seven silver spoons in that field. Mostly just pieces.

Nice Silver! Those are imo some of the nicest digs out there. Congrats on your hunt.

Thanks, RVRomer66. The field always amazes me. I have found silver jewelry there also.

Thanks, Digger RJ.

Nice. That's Stieff's 1892 Rose design. I know that because I dug a whole fork like that yesterday! It was a very popular design and they made it a long time.

Congrats Jamie
Rice nice saves

Thanks, Thrifty76now. The Storm coil helps a lot when you ground balance it properly.

Thanks, Washingtonian, I have done to research of the park to see if there was anyone there named Barbra Ann. I just know at one time there was a house towards the back of the park. There is a lot of fill dirt.

Thanks, Smokeythecat. I was trying to look up the date from the pattern, since it didn't have a date stamp.

Thanks, 8Reales.

Thanks, Jason in Enid. I've hunted there off and on for over three years. Try not to over stay my welcome with the neighbors or the Parks & Recreation people.
