My hunting partner and I finally found a site that produced more than one silver. It's a large seminary with around 100 acres of land built in the thirties.I got permission 3 weekends ago and have found silver on all but 2 trips.Today I found a 41 Washington and a 44 d war nickle(my first) plus one wheat. My friend got a few wheats but the silver skunk.Previous hunts have produced 2 rosies,6 washingtons,5 mercs, and my favorite a 1942 walking liberty half(first half of any type!).There was also a dateless buffalo and some nice relics found by the both of us(horse shoe, lock, buckles).I've been using my dfx with a custom and very noisy deep silver mode but no coin has been deeper than 6 inchs or so. The walker read at a solid screaming 92vdi and was only 1and1half inches deep! It's in good shape with only a small mower slash on the edge. It's all in the location on this streak though as my buddy has found some of the above totals using my cobra beach master, plus many wheats. So far all coins have been mid 20s or later with the majority being from the 30s and 40s. I'm moving up in the ranks I feel like PrivateDFX aspiring to become like a Captain SE ! Sorry no pics my pc still runs windows ME and dos'nt recognize my camera. Spent all the cash on the DFX ,next purchase new computer. Thanks to all on this site for all the info and inspiration it's been awesome! Keep on diggin ,Eric!!
