Lovely warm day, had to take off several layers!

We started on a grass field which we had had a little luck on before, but after 40 minutes we gave up. I went & asked the owner if we could still do the Wheat fields, he said it was now too tall but there was one field not planted - the field I had the nice silver fob seal. It was never a great field but we were pleased enough to have another option.

4.5 hours:

2 scrappies (only ever had 3 off the whole 10 acres previously)
1 rose farthing
Royal farthing
Jetton
18th C Cuff Links
17th C Button (Civil War period)
Medieval Annular Brooch
Broken Medieval Casket Key
Acorn shaped Leather Mount
Bits...

Actually, its not attached, must of got hit by the last plough because they were about a foot apart.

The Royal was the first copper farthing to be produced in England under James I (1603-25), and then changed into the Rose Farthing during Charles I reign 1625-49.

Looks like a Buckle day topped with the annular brooch! Not that bad at all! :icon_thumleft: I hope the good weather comes over tomorrow. We had sleet today and it was a lot!
