Hi Everyone:

Went to a tot lot at this library in my area and didnt expect to find anything, maybe just some coins...I found altogether in clad about two dollars and I was happy. I had just gotten a Garett pinpointer and wanted to test it out, I love it and cannot believe I have detected for so long without one.

I was digging out this target and I pulled up a ring and I was a happy camper. I really thought it was junk jewelery and feel it was made for a little girl. I attempted to check the inside of the ring for markings but my eyes are not what they use to be. Went and bought a magnaflying lense and this is what is stamped on the inside: " .925 Sample REKO". :dontknow:

I know that 925 means it is silver and I am happy for that. My question for someone, is what does the Sample REKO mean? It also has 13 small diamonds on the outside and they look real but I will have to take them to get checked out.

Would really like to connect with someone in the Augusta Georgia area to do some detecting with. Maybe then they could teach me how to post my pictures too......Ha ha

Hope you all have a wonderful and great day..

To post pictures look at the bottom below where you type your post message and you should see the word "Images" and a "browse" button. Just click the browse button and go to the directory where you have the image you want to use and select it. Then when you post your message the picture will be included.

Little diamonds sometimes are. Worth getting it tested. I haven't mastered the photo bit either - need to sit down with one of my tech savvy kids. I think it's the sizing that got me.

Anyway, congrats! Sounds like a sweet ring, real diamonds or not.

you could open the image you want to post in word or paint and choose the resize option from the top- then choose 50% - it can shrink your image down by half. repeat if you set your camera too high - 640x480 is enough for most applications. or you can even post the big image and ask someone here to re-size it for you. it happens often and no one here really minds too much to help out and resize something - it doesn't take long. :icon_thumright: anyhow- good deal finding silver! :)
