Only found one and it screamed like 2 clad quarter stacked.

It depends on the machine but most of the silver rings or otherwise I find ring up in the same range as copper....so keep digging those pennies.

Here's a few of the silver items I've found....

This is just a sample of some of the silver jewelry I've dug....unfortunately don't have a group shot of the rings.

The ones that I have dug, usually sound like they are between copper cent and silver dime reading... most are small and sound like a deep coin, but end up being shallower and smaller than expected.

Just keep after it, we find them especially at schools, sometimes in yards and once in a while at the park.

I dug this one on Saturday afternoon, faint deep high sound. It sounded like a silver dime at 8", but was only about 4" deep.

For my detector, tiny silver rings come in as dimes and medium-large rings read as a quarter.

I've dug gold rings before in the past, and know that they ring up in the foil/Nickel/pull tab range for me, but I have never found a silver ring before, so any input as to where they read would be appreciated. Thanks!

Help to know what detector you use.... Most I have used come in in the silver coin range..

Ok thanks for all the input, I use a Garrett Ace 250 now, (hopefully upgrading to AT Pro next year). I should be good tho as I always dig all coin tones. Much appreciated:thumbsup:

I found a 925 band and it was a solid 99 on the AT Pro.

We may not want to hear it, but, size DOES matter! :laughing7: Silver ring I.D.'s can range from low zinc cents (and even a little lower if they're crusty or encapsulated) to half dollars. In the same condition, the bigger the item, the higher the reading and tone.
