Well today ends a beautiful long weekend for me and a third day spent it at my favorite "old beach". Always something interesting to be found.

First up is a Railroad Token or else? Great looking piece and gave me start when I first saw it in my scoop on edge. It had that yellow color on the edge. NOT! But still pretty cool.

Second is a really cool square style Silver ring. Always love to hear the ring of silver in my phones.

Third up is a group pic of the coins not clad. 1964 Q, silver Rosie, 2 beat IH,1 beat LC, and a Shield nickle

And lastly #4 skeleton this week, brass wheel, piece of toy Whistle?, fishing weights.

Enjoy the pics and HH.

Any info on that railroad token? I'd say 60's from the look and theme but that's just me.

KILLER HUNT!! With varitey like that u cant go wrong.. CONGRATS. HH

I recognize that picture of the kids on that r.r. token. They were a part of a campaign to promote safety at railroad crossings and around tracks. They're standing at a crossing watching/waiting for a train or making sure it's safe before they cross. Very nice!

One more thing: The motto for Operation Lifesaver is "Stop, Look, Listen, Live". Maybe early form of Operation Lifesaver.

In 1927, Herman Daake created the Safety First program. He called the image of the three children "Three Wise Children". As Supervisor of Safety for the Erie Railroad he was very concerned for the safety of children playing near railroad tracks. Your medallion looks to be from the late 1930's.

Good hunt! Great variety!

Wow, the water really beats up that silver. I normally pull them from our clay soil looking like the day they were dropped.

About the most delightful group of finds I've seen! I think that the date '32 or '33 is just to the right of the maker's name in the token's copyright line. Please let us know what else you find on that super beach! HH Andi
