I can't say for sure, but it has a look of Moroccan Berbers .... I'm not getting a sense of it being Roman.

The spiralling design in the centre is more associated with Saxon period than Roman, having said that I believe the ring not to be of either period, but a later period, but these are my thoughts and mine alone. Nice find
