Silver ring and War Nickel

Hello all..........
Today was a beautiful day for detecting, so Neil, Ron and myself took a short ride north to Corvalis, Oregon to look around for some new territory. We found plenty of clad coins, some silver and the usual trash items.
Neil and Ron did quite well in the silver department and will post their results later, I'm sure. I found a nice silver ring with 3 amber stones, some wheat cents and a 1945-s war nickel. All in all, a good day. Thanks for looking.......

I didn't see any bugs so guess it is just a plain amber stone. The one darker stone sure catches the light and shows almost like a fire opal.....kinda pretty.

VERY COOL! It would be fun to show that ring to someone that coule tell us more about that green'ish colored stone!

I haven't had time to have someone that knows more about gemstones look at the ring yet. It is 925 silver but your guess on the stones is as good as mine for now.

Thanks DD-777 for the information......I read the info on all 3 web sites and understand a little more about amber, its formation and colors. I still want to take it to a gemologist for an eval.... You never know.....might have something good there. Thanks again Gold Nuggets
