Hello Fellow Treasure Hunters,
Didn't get out until after noon today so I made up for it by staying out until 8:35 tonight.
I've been wanting to hit the tot lot pictured but it has always been filled with kids and parents...today, maybe because it was only about 57 degrees, there wasn't a soul there! Rings 7 & 8 were my reward plus a good amount of clad. The silver ring was pretty bent up but I managed to straighten it out pretty much. Four kids arrived and kept me company until the Mom drove up an hour later and stood there with her hands on her hips. The kids split! She looked mean to me too.
I took my time finishing up on this tot lot. I only found one pull tab, but there was quite a bit of aluminum slag.
The next tot lot contained 2 separate lots; one on each side of the school. I found rings 9 and 13 within 6 inches of each other under the slide.
The third lot only netted $2.13 in clad, but that was better than a kick in the teeth.
I was on the way home and remembered another school that was "almost" on the way. It was getting a little chilly by now so I had to put my jacket on. Another $2.96 and I was on the way home by 8:35.
Totals for the day: 1 Susan B Anthony dollar, 25 Quarters, 35 dimes, 15 nickels, 97 pennies (composed of 64 Zinc, 27 copper, 3 Canadian and 3 wheaties. I believe the total is $12.47. I don't often find that much clad in one day so I was pleased. Check out the pictures!
After the last two days I have to say my back and legs are killing me! But I'm not complaining!
Happy hunting everyone!
