Stopped at a yard sale last weekend and spotted a box full of Proof sets. I was at first not really paying attention to the details of all of them. I really just wanted the 1995 set for my daughter as she was born that year. The guy really wanted to sell all of them as a whole and only wanted $60 for them. He said that it was face value. I then spotted the print on one of them that said Silver Proof Set. At that point in time I couldn’t pull my money out fast enough! Four 1999 silver sets and one 2001 silver set. Also many others. Another fine silver score!! 🏴☠️ ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1597084292.312388.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1597084374.948903.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1597084391.483098.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1597084407.967765.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1597084422.100711.webp

Wow, all that for $60? All I ever see at those sales are baby clothes, you nailed it, Congrats!

Score!! . . . . . . . . .:notworthy:

Agreed....SCORE! Grats!

Killer score, congrats! :occasion14:

You did good. At one time, the 1999 silver sets sold over $300.00 each.

Nice score, the sales here would have asked $6,000. :tongue3:

Thanks!! They have a red book value of $90.00 currently. The 2001 I believe is at $45.00. I’m probably going to keep two of the 1999’s and a couple of others and maybe flip the remaining sets. Not in any hurry. I know a dealer won’t give me close to book value so I’ll need to try to find a collector maybe. I do collect some coins but not really any of the modern ones.

I'd say you did very well. Nice grab.

excellent score. I'm with SD51, all you see around here is baby clothes. ugh

Great catch for only $60.
