Was out for a hunt today at the site where a schoolhouse used to be. another member here (DDcoil) dug this. At first he thought it was a silveer coin and then we thought it was a washer, but after cleaning it off some, we came across the markings. I knew the IS markings meant international silver and there is a small chip on one side in the silver plating where you can see the metal underneat(Im guessing copper, its a kind of purple corroded color). I searched the net and see that Meridan B co was bought by Internationals Silver co and they made silver plated silverware and bowls and such. But what the heck isthis? Found in the same hole as the pictured porcelain insulator thing.Meridan B co(scale symbol)Internationals Co1220ISnothing on the backIts in between the size of a quarter and a half dollar
