I found this (not in the ground), the other day. It is heavy and not magnetic itself but the small hang wire is magnetic.

It is just under 1 5/8" (40.055mm) in diameter and 7/16" (11.3mm) thick.

I do not have any digital scales so I used my old beam scales and got a weight of 86.915g. (@ 3.1oz)

It does have a mold line around the circumference and as mentioned above the hanger is magnetic. I tried Breezies' silver test with alum. foil and spit but did not smell any rotten eggs so I don't think it is silver.
Any help in identifying this would be appreciated. Thanks to all and HH. yelnif

I would say it's not silver as well, it appears to be white metal and plated and possibly with silver.

I say the above from looking at the second and third pictures, you can see where the plating has worn off of the higher relief areas, where you can see the base white metal beneath the plating.

not sure what it could be, other than a possible ornament of some sort.

AU Seeker, thanks for the reply. There is no 'plating' wore off, I think that is lite reflection you are seeing. I have been doing some more research and found two old threads; one started by 'cord' on may 12, 2012; 'creskol' on dec.3,2009, both of which have the exact same thing. It seems to be the general consensus that we all have a clock pendulum weight. So there we go, it must have been a popular clock. HH yelnif...
