Any idea if this ring is gold or silver? 003.JPG001.JPG002.JPG

Hey G, I have to say this again, YOU find some of the best items!!! Your ring is known as a Claddagh ring. It is an Irish tradition to give the Claddagh for an engagement or friendship. The symbols are 'love' for the heart, 'friendship' for the hands, and 'loyalty' for the crown. Super neat find :) Breezie [h=1][/h]

Nice ring G.:headbang: now we know what it is, it would be nice if we can find the Maker, I see the makers intials O.C and the date letter d, can you tell what the two middle symbols are, or perhaps get a better picture of them.

Super nice ring! is it dug?
The hallmarks on yours don't appear to be Irish as in the description of this Silver claddagh with an OC makers mark..
Sterling Silver Irish Claddagh Band Ring Ireland Sz (05/06/2011)...
You can get a 7 metal test kit for about $15 and never wonder again :occasion14:
I dug this ring.

Thanks Breezie!!!!!

Thanks Silversercher. If you put a magnifier to the computer screen you can see it a bit better, but it worn. I took these images with a macro cannon s10 at 4x zoom so I dont think I could get a much closer shot. Typically all the silver jewelry I have found has a 925 mark, so I hope this is white old.
