A few weeks ago someone found a silver necklace for $4 which was a John Hardy. I was thinking, Oh man, it's been forever since I found a Hardy. Then like two weeks later I found some Bamboo earrings that I sold for $150 within a few days. Yesterday, I was down at one of the thrift shops I rarely go to. 95% of the time I bomb out. Well, I see a Silpada necklace for $7. Next to it was a silver necklace that I instantly knew was a huge score. Yup! It's a John Hardy! $9 for a Kali link necklace, weighing over 70 grams. I have no idea how much to price this! $550?

My drop box isn't syncing. I'll post pictures later.

I guess you can call us the Hardy "Boys" now! Congrats. I can't wait to see the pictures

I'm a Hardy Girl, I guess. Lol.

I think yours is heavier. How much are you going to list for?

At this point I'm holding my silver to the price comes back up.

After looking at yours what concerns me is the makers Mark are decidedly different between mine and yours. I think I might need to get mine checked out. Also yours seems to be a much finer craftsmanship.

I've given up on this idea... Maybe one day! A lot of jewelry is always worth way more than what the spot of silver will ever be. So that gets sold. Silver bars are different story though. [emoji39]

Speaking of John Hardy I have never found a piece of his jewelry ever. Must be rare...

That is also his hallmark Jim. You'll get a lot more money selling it as a name brand. How much does it weigh again?

With all those places you frequent, I'm surprised you never got a Hardy! I've even found yurman. You'll find it. I said that about bakelite, and finally got a piece.

Very true but if the silver value is higher I'm thinking that the designer value will be even higher also. Besides I like looking at the stuff I find. The better the items are harder for me to part with it

ROTFL! I thought it was only the women who had a hard time parting with things. All the good stuff ends up in my jewelry box, and I don't let my daughters see what I find or I'll never sell anything!
I'm thinking of waiting until the beginning of November to list my good stuff. Pandora, Silpada, all my names, and then the gold that's good for gift giving.
At least, that's the excuse I'm using right now for not listing.

Just tell them it's your retirement account
