Silver Mystery Piece

I actually found this several years ago and have never been able to identify it. It's silver and decorated but is oddly shaped. I would think that the holes are the key to identifying it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

IDK. Those marks look like they were caused by a flame cutting torch. Like maybe there was a pipe welded to it that was cut off?...Piece of scrap metal is all I can think of. I don't believe it be a armor plated sand dollar, though it looks like one

That's what I initially thought but the etching is irregular without any discernable pattern. Also, the holes are not in any type of alignment associated with time piece...

The shape reminds me of a hammered cob.
It may be a love token of sorts with other parts missing,

I wish that were the case. It's very thin though. Another thought that came to me when I found it was the Spanish treasure coin from "The Goonies" which pointed the gang towards the treasure cave...haha!

Ck the hole pattern to the zodiac. Romeo may be the closest in his comment . It's not from the goonies though I'm thinking It is a marking of sort. It is used on a circle. Which are called centers. It looks like the sign of Scorpio but I could be wrong. The notches are maybe a measurement system. I've seen something like this before. The overall shape could have something to do with an area in which it was found ,Like a topo..
