Silver Mine in Stafford County VA.

Came across this info while researching The History of Maryland by Bozeman pgs 120- 121. Captain John Smith while discovering the Chesapeake Bay found that Indians had a “Silver Mine”along the “Acquie Creek” in Stafford County VA. Possibly now called the “Quiyogh”. Smith and his crew traveled up the creek as far as they could go and “thence by land seven or eight miles to the mine, denoted as “a great rocky mountaine like Antimony”
