Hey gang,

Had a fairly productive 2 hour hunt last night.

2 Military Pins (Engineers Core & US Army Collar Button) I believe these date back to WW2

4 silvers

A “what’s it?” it was pretty deep 10-11 inches, has a lot of beautiful gold guilding which is super fragile...any clue as to what this might be?

Lastly a pretty cool buckle, however I am a bit stumped as to the age/hallmark. All this was found near Alexandria, VA so the history is pretty extensive...not 15 feet from this buckle a few days ago I pulled out a Civil War Eagle Sword Belt Plate (which will be a subject of a later post as I am cleaning it now)...any thoughts as to the last two items?

Hope you enjoyed!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Great hunt! Good luck on the ID for the fancy gilded piece. Someone will have a good idea. Is it broken off at the bottom?

the buckle appears to be a shoulder belt plate. Pre-civil war evidently. It ssems to be near identical to the fourth one down on this link. Click the pic of the back side of the fourth one and you'll see the same mark as yours Ridgeway Reference Library, Civil War plates and buckles

That’s precisely it! Thank you so much for the ID! I wish the Eagle Sword Plate was in good of a condition as this guy was [emoji23]

Great hunt and some really nice finds! :icon_thumright:
