Hello -

Some of you may remember 4 or 5 years ago when I made the silver melt value calculator program and was able to email to members upon request.

Finally, I have released the Silver and Gold Market Value Calculator application available on I-tunes!

Please check it out and let me know what you think / things that could be improved!

Thanks!

Looks interesting, of course .99 cents is cheap so I may buy it.
but
I can already open up a safari and click on my bookmarked silver calculator from the web in a matter of seconds.
Is there a selling point to your app over a web page.

But Good work on creating an Itunes App I have been wanting to tinker around with it for some time. (Did you write it?)

You can update the app from anywhere even without a computer. So, if you are at a coin show or coin store and need to quickly see how much the silver in your coins is worth you can do so more easily.

You can also add as many components as you want using the app - so you can create collections consisting of many different amounts and types of coins. You can also save the collection and update it later so you don't have to continually re-enter everything you have and then add it all up like with the online one.

Thanks for checking it out!

OK, I purchased the app, I would like to make some suggestions.

1) Add 71-76 Ike Dollars (40%) or better yet match up the coins to http://www.coinflation.com/coins/silver_coin_calculator.html
2) Label the .50 half dollar amounts seperately, such as "Half Dollars(40)" &"Half Dollars(90)"
3) a seperate buillion label, "rounds" ect. ect.
4) be able to add a custom field for things like the 1993 Standing liberty 1oz < or whatever strange coin you might have.

I am not following you on the "Add as many components as you want"

It would be nice to have a "collection" with a custom label like "CRH 2011" so you could add how many coins you have found.

Also what happens if I click the "edit" button and then the - sign next to the "Gold Total" will it disappear for ever?

Thanks for the feedback!

Not sure how long it will take but I will try to get the app updated soon.

The app will not let you remove any of the totals.

Thanks,

I thought of more thing that would come in handy while i was at the pawn shop looking at coins.
A screen that has a quick listing of all the coins at once for a single coin.

Example: something like this.

Quarter pre 65(90%) 8.65
Dime pre 65(90%) 3.47

If i just want to get a quick glance to see how much something is worth or remind myself that kennedy halves 65-70 are 40% and worth x dollars

Using your app at the pawn shop i wanted to know how much a 70 kennedy was worth, i had to add it to a collection to get the price. Then remove it later because i didnt buy it.

Still worth 99 cents

Thanks for the review!

I will try to get the app updated soon - but then it will have to be reviewed again by apple.

Thanks again!
