Looks to be perfectly round on the egde, Not indicative of the hand struck pieces of the 17th century. Also, the E and T are too close together.

Could be a 19th century repro struck in silver!!!! regardless, its a great find....

rck 1, you may be wright but looking back at Buckrams site post the E&T seem to be in alinement with the A&M.Was the coins ever silver plated to start with?

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

That’s a modern copy of a Republic of Venice (Italian States) 2 soldi (1/10 lira) coin for Dalmatia and Albania. The original would be in copper, struck between 1691-1709. It has the winged lion for Saint Mark of Venice with his abbreviation on one side and then the abbreviations for Dalmatia and Albania on the other side.
