No idea what the other markings are...

EP - Electroplated?? (I don't think so as it looks solid, just a guess)

Nice bonus for an auction box lot. Lucky, could you post a picture of the whole item? The style/form might give a clue as to where or when they were made.

Thanks for the information Matt.

Crusader, what makes you say that it is plated? I did some looking at other Cooper Bros. and they made a lot of solid silver items.

I agree with Crusader that EP stands for ElectroPlated. The Hallmark used for solid silver items made in Sheffield is a Lion, and I don't think that can legally vary (but I can always be wrong). Here's a site that shows hallmarks of different Sheffield manufacturers, both plated and solid. Although they don't specifically show Cooper's marks I think it can be considered conclusive.

Nearly right. The lion is the 'standard mark' meaning that its solid silver.
