I found this shiny silver-looking lion about 4 inches underground next to a medium sized tree next to a playground parking lot. (Twin Cities, MN area) Its about 1.5 inches tall and heavy. I have searched online and can't find anything about the markings. My neighbor thought it might possibly be a chess piece, but my boyfriend and I both guessed it might be some kind of wax seal/signet thing. No idea on the age and I couldn't find any markings other than the ones in the pictures. I'd also like to know if its real silver-I don't have a test kit yet if that's the only other way to find out. Any clues or info welcome! This is one of my first posts so please let me know if I did anything wrong. Thanks!

I think it's a wax seal press

Thanks for the reply! I'm also curious about the age of the item if anyone has a clue! :)
