My wife and I are absolutely speechless after searching through the 10 bags of coins we picked up from the bank Friday. We were up last night until 2 AM going through the bags. I wanted to post this last night, but we were exhausted. The final total for the 10 bags were an amazing 1,374 keepers!!!! You read it right, 1,374 keepers!
This shattered all other records we had established . It was difficult going to sleep last night after this fantastic silver strike. All of the bags again were the cotton/canvas bags and all were dated 2003 or older. The Federal Reserve stopped accepting these cotton bags from the banks in 2003.

We also found another 1970D silver half - the eighth one this year.

We had two bags that produced numerous coins of other denominations such as dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. The total in the tray is $53.60. We were only short one bag for $3.50. Net profit of $50.10.

Three foreign coins were also found and other tokens that I didn't mention.

Two other amazing and unbelievable events happened during this search that you will fine incredible. I plan to post those events in separate posts today.

Oh almost forgot the totals:

1,377 Keepers
40% - 1,348

1964 - 20

Ben Franklin - 5

1970D - 1

Foreign - 3

Best of luck to all CRHers out there and thanks for the inspiration many of you have given me since joining this great hobby in March!

nice finds man! :o is that a $500 peso coin? if it is, you can exchange it for about $25 american money.
I believe it is but not sure. I sure didn't know it was worth that much in Americam money. It is a heavy coin mainly based upon its thickness.

But didn't they revalue the peso a few years ago? If so, only the recent coinage would have that exchange rate. I think this was the old peso and practically worthless, but I could be mistaken.

My goodness Rog.......keep riding the wave!!! Congrats on such an astounding haul. Your right about it being incredible.....truly incredible!! Tell Mrs. OR congrats also....again....ha!

If my math is right...that is about 68 or 69 keepers per $500 box (if the bags were boxes) which is just beyond awesome.

You have taken this hobby to another level. WTG!!!

Love the pictures & keep em coming........
