I took a guy out that I had met that was going through a military school here and he got my contact information through my club website. We went to some old houses that were being taken down for a few hours to hunt.

Within 15 minutes I found this ring. The ring is very solid silver and probably one of the best silver rings that I have found. Do you all think that the ring is worth getting repaired?

This is the first really nice lock that I have found. I don't know specifics about the railroad lock. I am going to post a picture in the preservation section to see the best way to clean it up and preserve it.

I found the silver buckle around where other folks had dug. It was a good 9" or more deep and kind of an iffy signal. I love it when I can find items around where others had dug.

I am on a bit of a roll this year on finding rings. I have found 4 this year so far. Last year one or two.

Pointman,

Nice finds. If you like the ring enough you might as well repair it.

Since you're finding all these silver rings maybe you should take a silversmith class and learn how do do simple repairs. :unhappysmiley: I think that the railroad lock is a super cool find. That would have made my day. Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Very cool lock !!!!!

I like it...I found one also month or so ago...they use the hole on the bottom to chain it up.
