Silver indian and a Boston ?

not a bad hunt today found a Silver 1954 dime . a 1901 indian .. and this Boston American 72.. how old is it ? and is it a hotel key chain ?

Its not a slave tag, its from the American House hotel in Boston. It was established in 1835. I'm thinking its from a room key. Lots of stuff on the net about it

sweet thanks mangum . i did look but did not come up with that ..American House hotel in Boston. It was established in 1835 The hotel closed around 1916. . got to like digging up old stuff... it lets you know there is old silver in the ground somewhere lol

That hotel tag is a nice find ! I think it is circa 1880's- 90's - I found one from Atlanta -(1900 or thereabouts) near Santa Fe.

Glad i could help! I searched "American house Boston" the quotation marks will narrow the search down to sites with that exact word combination. I came up with nothing without using the quotation marks.
