My friend and I took our F2s out for a couple of hours Sunday afternoon to an old home site along the Ouachita River. Had a pretty good hunt. I found an old padlock, a lead dog and a 51 silver quarter but my friend had a big day, finding his first gold and silver. A 1975 10K class ring and a WWII Army Air Corps Air Transportation Command sterling silver pin. We also found lots of other old stuff. Both of us are rookies and have only been hunting a couple of months. it was our first hunt with our new Garrett pro pointers and what a difference they make. I can't believe the time they save. Here are a couple of pics of some of our finds.

that pin is way cool, and of course the class ring speaks for itself :icon_thumleft:

I like the American Flag Button/ Pin thing also... Great Job , I hunted for a month without a pin pointer and WOW after I got My Garrett P.P. I saved some serous time

I found an old Ford key just like that one you have pictured on Sunday. Was wondering what year Ford that may have belonged to.
Those are some good finds you have there.

Nice finds. That gold ring looks like it has some weight to it. I sure wish things would thaw out around here and get a bit warmer. I had some good success over the past weekend with 2 bat wing buckles, a hallmarked silver knee buckle and a few silver dimes, but the detecting is very limited as many spots are still frozen 6" down.
