Went to a ~100 year old house that sits on the property that's been occupied since the mid 1700's at least. I ended up with a nice variety, but nothing earth-shattering: one orchard token, one late wheat, a 1916 buffalo with a barely readable date, a 1918 merc, and a 1955 10k class ring. That's my first class ring, and I'm in contact with the school right now to see if I can track down the owner. They'd be about 80 right now so there's a chance that they're still alive and in the area but I'm not real hopeful. Even if they're not I might be able to track down a relative. We looked through the 1955 yearbook this morning and couldn't find anybody with the right initials in that year's graduating class. They didn't issue yearbooks for three years prior to that, so I might have to go back to a 1951 yearbook and look at the 8th grade class to try to find someone.

And looking forward to you finding the rings owner - let us know!

Thanks guys - I got a dead end with the yearbooks, but I do have a lead on a name of a lady that graduated around that time period I'm going to try to track down. Not sure if it would have been the right year or not, but it's the only name I've got so far.
