I finally got permission for the old house I've had my eye on, these finds are about 1/2 of the front lawn only. This house will take awhile.
In 3 hours this morning I found this 43 Merc (my first) about 4 in down, found the 10 k ring at 3 in the inside of the ring 10 k G.F. vSv, any ideas
and everyone needs a big fishing weight. Also found 3 wheats, 2-clad q, 17 mem pennies, and a Roosevelt dime. The owner stated the last people to live in the house were (wino's) after finding 100's of wine tops I believe she is right.

10K GF means that the ring is layered gold and alloy fill metal. It is actually better than gold plated, as there is more actual gold in the ring than if it were plated. I'm not an expert, but here is a link to a site that explains it better than I can:

Scroll down a little to where it descibes non karat gold techniques.

Good finds, and HH!

Nice finds!
