I found my second and third rings of the year yesterday at the beach. The first one I found is the third picture, just junk. The third one is nice. It is 8.9 grams and is stamped 925 and 750. With lots of small diamonds. My girlfriend came over last night, saw it sitting on my laptop and claimed it. I wish I looked the ring up before I said ok to her. It is a David Yurman and goes for a lot of money. Oh well

That's a nice ring.DID SHE SAY OH YOU WENT TO JARED'S.. LOL......

My wife loves David Yurman, so I'm a little familiar with that line. Your ring seems to have about 1/3 to 1/2 the carat weight of pave diamonds as this Yurman ring, but the design is same. Probably looking at $1000 to $1200 retail. Nice Find!!!

Verry nice ring indeed

I just realized. The ring has a third number stamped in it .525 which would stand for the total carat weight of the diamonds. thanks

We are all learning.

Nice piece.

Is it a Jared's???

Tell the girlfriend you had something else in mind for her and get that puppy back!

You're not going to find this designer at Jared's, Kay's, Zales, Macy's, etc.

More along the lines of Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lee Micheals, etc. He's a pretty high end designer and you'll find his stuff under the glass alongside John Hardy, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Mikimoto, Gurhan, etc.

One more thing, just to make sure it's the real deal. This designer is copied (faked) alot.

The proper copyright marking on the inside of the ring should be "D.Y. 925"

Sometimes fakes will re-arrange this info to read "925 DY" or leave it off completely.

Awesome Ring! It could be her V-Day gift? lol I have the same issue with my GF, I don't mind though as long as I get to take pics first

That's a beauty!!

Great rings.

Very nice find:thumbsup:

Tell your girl that if she does not swing (the MD), then no BLING!

anyone who would give that much for a silver ring, especially the price listed in that pic, is a complete moron

C'mon...with your username, you know better than most that retail jewelry is marked up 100% or even more on a daily basis. Why is this designer so different than any one else in the industry? That kind of mark up is pretty standard for "designer" jewelry. The public is not paying for carat weight and gold/silver content...they're paying for the value of the designer's work, like it's always been done for a LONG time. If they don't like the designer, they don't have to buy it...if they do like the designer, they do buy it.

You think a loaded 2013 Ford Explorer, or whatever, is really worth $40K? Think the dealer is losing money when they match a $5K manufactures discount and sell you the car for $30K instead of the sticker $40K? Think you're getting a "great deal" when you walk out? LOL! I'm fairly certain you've been a MORON yourself in the past.

Sweet rings !!!

you hit the nail on the head. all they are paying for is the name. much like a Cadillac is just a Chevy with a different badge. I was in fact getting at the point that the silver/gold/diamond content of that ring most likely does not exceed 60 dollars. The older I get, the more realistic I get about the true value of things. A designer's name means very little me. I hope you didn't take that I was putting your find down. I think it was a fantastic find. I was just saying that anyone who would pay that much for that item has got more money than brains.
