Couldn't sleep last night, so I ended up in the road in front of the house of advertised estate sale way before it was to begin. I had no intention of knocking on doors. I simply wanted to be the first one there and inside for a change. The house had no occupants for 8 years and stuff was all over the place. I grabbed and stored stuff that looked good and grabbed and stored stuff that I thought was cool. I should stick with the stuff I thought was cool. Spent only forty bucks but got a bunch of stuff...sterling dresser set, sterling jewelry (20 gr), Austin productions cigar store indian, and the items shown below that I am having trouble id'ing, along with a bunch of other stuff I consider flea market fodder.
1. Chafing dish, bought it with the knowledge that it's probably plated, But...it looks like some silver I have, it was given as a golf trophy in the 60's, and it has hallmarks that I have researched It is Sol Goldfeder Electroplate
2. chalkware bust of Geronimo, this thing is massive. Does anyone recognize the artist?
3. Stoneware small jug, Tonala Mexico
4. Last but certainly not least is this "picture". The main characters are raised and it almost looks like Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck in the early years. Backing was missing, so there are no identifing marks.
Any help is appreciated.
