I haven’t been able to get out much lately due to other obligations not to mention the 117º F temperatures we’ve been having around here.

I did get out for a time or two with a mentionable matching set of silver earrings with one missing the loop found in a local school yard.

The other finds came from one of my demo sites. I managed a marble incased in foil (lol), a few wheats and a 1957 5 PTAS Spanish coin.

I also dug this little car that looks like it came off of a plaque or trophy. It was down about 3” and that was after a 2” to 3” scrape, it was down in the impacted soil level. Strange metal, it’s not gold or silver but cleaned up easily and is not corroded.

Hopefully this weekend I’ll be able to get out after a birthday and baby shower commitment.

Nice finds. I'll bet there's a lot of Mexican coins in S Cal...dig em all!

You have true grit just for detecting in that heat!

It's groovy how you found both earings.

Congratulations!

Way too hot out there, makes it tough to enjoy the hobby, or anything outside. Glad you got out anyway Ant and nice group of finds. Love the peace earrings!

117 Degrees weather?

Did you go to the Antelope Valley (Palmdale/Lancaster) for detecting? :P

When the weather gets hot and muggy, hit the coast!

Congrats on your finds!

Nice finds Ant. I don't miss the summers in the Mojave.

On hot summer days I only hunt in the morning, evening and nights. Even a dog knows how kick back in the shade on days like that ;D.

Thanks everyone.

Ant,
Way to go on the finds.
What kind of camera are you using? Your pictures are awesome!
