Three bucks is a decent price for BU specimens. The local coin stores are selling new rolls of 20 at just over 3 bucks per coin premium.
I personally would rather buy low cost generic silver rounds if available. Just know that the 3 buck premium you pay now will most likely not be recouped when you sell. You might get a buck to a buck fifty or so over spot if you are lucky, but the spread will probably not be as good as if you bought generics or even good junk coins.
But if you like the Eagles you might as well get them if you think silver is going up in the future. I have been getting Eagles when I can find them with lower premiums, usually toned or off quality coins and not the fancy BU ones. At least you know that they will most likely be the most favored silver round when it is time to sell.
