Hello everyone. I took a day off from work and went to a 1930s park in a nearby town this morning. I didn't find much but I ended my six month silver drought with my first Rosie. A 1947. It was just under the surface. All I had to do was flick it out of the dirt with my finger. It's not pretty but it made my day!

There wasn't a lot of aluminum trash but my machine was giving a lot of false high tones on iron which is unusual for me. I only found five clad pennies and a wheat cent that was only 1" down. I'm definitely going back to that park soon. Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunting!

Nice Rosie find.

Always nice to end the droughts. I ended mine about a week ago (for the moment anyway).

Did you find the dime in gravel? WTG on ending the drought.

I found it at the base of a tree. The pictures were taken after I rubbed it with baking soda paste. The surface is pitted. I don't know what would cause that.
